Every year I try to host a dog birthday party around the time of Izzy’s birthday so we can celebrate all the dog’s birthdays! Since Hudson and Mylah’s birthdays are in the fall/winter we can’t really be outside that much with all the dogs. It is much easier to throw one big dog birthday party with their dog friends in our backyard.

This year I made Izzy a cake that we split up between all the dogs! They also got their own individual dog treats with their initial on them. This is a gluten free cake recipe for dogs because my dogs are sensitive to gluten! Let me know if your dog(s) enjoy it!

Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350. Mix together all ingredients except for any gluten free flour
  2. Once the ingredients become like dough, you can sprinkle some gluten free flour on wax paper and roll out your dough
  3. Use cookie cutters, I used the bone one out of this set: http://amzn.to/2eOorSr to create a few cookies. Bake the cookies on parchment paper
  4. For the cake - take the excess dough (or all of it if you choose) and place it in a greased loaf pan like this: http://amzn.to/2vPjTCO
  5. The cake dough can be about 1/2 an inch thick and does not have to take up the entire loaf pan. Since I made a few treats and a cake, my cake only took up half this pan
  6. You may need to dust more flour on the cake or treats before baking
  7. Place treats and/or cake in the oven on the middle rack and bake for 35 minutes
  8. Once they've finished baking, cool the treats/cake and then frost with plain greek yogurt
  9. Take the pureed blueberries and place in the bottom corner of a plastic bag. Cut the tip off the bag and you can write on the cake or treats
  10. I placed a plain dog bone treat on top of the cake for added cuteness! Hope your dog(s) enjoy!
  11. I also froze the treats and cake for a few hours because I knew I wouldn't be using them for awhile. You can also keep them in the refrigerator so the yogurt doesn't melt 🙂
